History
Brew pub chain established in 1990 with the opening of the Hove and Southampton outlets by David Bruce (who originally started the Firkin chain of brewpubs on which they were clearly modelled). In 1994, the company was sold to Grosvenor Inns and the two other pubs opened. By 1999 only the Hove outlet was brewing and this only very infrequently. The pubs were taken over by Scottish & Newcastle at the beginning of 2000 and brewing ceased.
