History

This brewery started in August 1995 in an old dairy at 67 Mytton Oak Road, Shrewsbury SY3 8UQ. The brewer, Martin Barry, was previously at Snowdonia Brewery. A 2½BBL plant was assembled from old dairy equipment. Many bottle conditioned ales are brewed. Brewing ceased in late 1997 due to financial problems but the brewery was rescued and brewing recommenced in January 1998 and the brewery was increased in stages to a 20BBL plant. In Autumn 2014 the brewery moved to its new location upgrading to a 50BBL plant.

Beers Brewed

We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website. A crowd-sourced beer list is also available on the Untappd page for this brewery. For historical information, we suggest you also visit the brewery page on the unfortunately no longer updated Beermad.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover all possibilities: Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed, Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation and Local Authority which represents the third tear District level.
