|Beers Not Brewed By Original Company Following A Takeover|
|Address||Ansells Brewery Ltd|
Founded in 1857, it merged in 1961 with Tetley Walker and Ind Coope breweries to form Allied Breweries. The Aston Brewery stopped brewing in 1981 and production was moved to Allied's Burton plant. Currently, early 2002, the brand is produced by Carlsberg-Tetley at their Leeds plant. Brewing then moved to JW Lees but by 2012 cask ale had ceased to be produced although keg beer is still available brewed at an unknown site.
We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website. For historical information, we suggest you also visit the brewery page on the unfortunately no longer updated Beermad.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover all possibilities: Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed, Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation and Local Authority which represents the third tear District level.
