History
Started brewing in December 2004. The plant was previously used by Dwan in the Republic of Ireland. The brewery was set up as a sister company to Maypole Brewery Ltd but Maypole was sold to new owners shortly afterwards.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
