History
Following the decision of Eldridge Pope to get out of brewing in March 1997, a management buyout of the brewery took place. Formed joint venture with Burtonwood in 1999. Brewery closed July 2003.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
