History

Formed when Godson, Freeman & Wilmot and Chudley Ales merged in 1984. The brewery was taken over by Gibbs Mew in 1986 with brewing ceasing in 1987.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
