History
Set-up in October 1986 by Peter, who was made redundant as head brewer at Jennings, and Carole Yates. It was sold to the owners of High Force brewery in 1998. It was also known to produce beers under the name Yates & Baxter. The brewery closed in September 2017.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
