History

This brewery opened in 1994 in the old crown court building. The malt-extract brewery was owned by Whitbread. It closed during a refurbishment in 2000 when the brewplant was removed and the building renamed to The Courthouse. The brewplant was sold to the Nursery Brewery.

Beers Brewed

We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website and we suggest you also visit the entry for The Old Court Brewhouse on the independent www.beermad.org.uk.

Footnote - Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover both possibilities; Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed; and Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation.
