Beers were first seen in July 2011. Initially the beers have been brewed at East Coast which was under the same ownership. The on-site brewery started brewing in May 2013. The brewery closed in June 2018 with the site being taken over by Henry Smith Brewery.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
