First brewed in September 2013. A 6BBL plant supplied by PBC Brewery Installations Ltd is used. Initially beers were sold under the name James Street Brewery but that use soon finished. The pub is part of a chain that includes the following brewpubs Cambridge Brewhouse, Essex Street Brewing Company, King Street Brew House, London Road Brew House, St Andrews Brewery and The Turk's Head.
