History

Started during the summer of 1990 using a two barrel brewplant based in an old dye works on Mill House Lane, Sowerby Bridge. During late 1994 they moved to Owenshaw Mill, Old Cawsey, Sowerby Bridge and expanded the capacity of the brewery. During 1997 the brewery moved to the present location based in the cellar of the Ram's Head pub.

Beers Brewed

We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website and we suggest you also visit the entry for Ryburn Brewery on the independent www.beermad.org.uk.

Regular Outlets

The main outlet for the beer is the Ram's Head.

Footnote - Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover both possibilities; Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed; and Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation.
