History

Brewing started in July 1993 using a 5 barrel brewplant previously at the Reindeer in High Street, West Lydford. In 1994 this was sold and replaced by a 10 barrel plant. A move to larger premises was carried out in 1996, at the same time the plant was upgraded to a 20 barrel plant in 1996. In 2001 a 30 barrel brewplant was installed.

Beers Brewed

We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website and we suggest you also visit the entry for The Cottage Brewing Company Ltd on the independant www.beermad.org.uk.

Regular Outlets

While no pubs are owned the beers are widely available in the free trade.

Footnote - Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover both possibilities; Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed; and Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation.
