History
Formed in the summer of 1997 as a merger of Nix Wincott and Nene Valley breweries based at Nene Valley's brewery. The brewlength was 5 barrel and the original brand names were often used for the beers. It was taken over after getting into financial difficulties and moved to a new site as Payn Brewery in the summer of 1999.
Beers Brewed
We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website and we suggest you also visit the entry for Leyland Breweries Ltd on the independent www.beermad.org.uk.

Footnote - Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover both possibilities; Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed; and Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation.
