History
Family-owned brewery opened on 1st August 1997 in an outhouse behind the pub. The brewery has a 5BBL plant. Uses hops grown on the nearby family farm. In September 2000 the farm was sold but other locally grown hops are still used.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
