History
Founded in 1827. It was taken over by Scottish & Newcastle PLC in 1987. Most of Theakstons branded beers were at that time brewed at # !326 with capacity at Masham being used to produce one-off beers. In October 2003 the brewery was taken over by a number of members of the Theakston family and all production was brought back in-house.
