|Beers Not Brewed By Original Company Following A Takeover|
|Address||Hardys & Hansons PLC|
Founded as Kimberley Brewery in 1832. Taken over by Hardy's in 1857 who merged with the other local brewer Hansons, who were situated across the road and shared the same water supply, in 1930. The combined site was still in use but all brewing was moved onto the Hardy's plant in 1932. Taken over by Greene King in September 2006. Brewing ceased here on 11th December 2006 and was transferred to Bury St Edmunds.
We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website. For historical information, we suggest you also visit the brewery page on the unfortunately no longer updated Beermad.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover all possibilities: Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed, Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation and Local Authority which represents the third tear District level.
