History
This brewery was opened in December 1998 in the old stables of the Railway Tavern. The 5 barrel brewplant contains elements of the plant formerly at Scotts. Humpty Dumpty was the nickname of an early locomotive on the nearby railway line. In September 2001, they moved to new larger premises with a 10BBL plant prevoiusly at Deeping Ales, the former plant being supplied to set up Glastonbury Ales. The brewery was taken over in September 2006.

Footnote - Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover both possibilities; Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed; and Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation.
