History

Brewery started in December 1998 based at the Marble Arch, 73 Rochdale Road, Manchester, M4 4HY. A 4½BBL plant is installed in the rear room of this Victoria pub. In 2000 the beers became strictly organic and later the same year they became strictly vegan although by 2008 most beers were neither. In October 2009 a second plant was opened at Unit 41 Williamson Street, Manchester, M4 4DZ where a 12BBL plant supplied by Johnson Brewing & Engineering Ltd is used. Brewing ceased at the pub in autumn 2011 and the pub plant was sold to Blackjack Beers. Relocated to their current site in mid-2017.

Beers Brewed

We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website. A crowd-sourced beer list is also available on the Untappd page for this brewery. For historical information, we suggest you also visit the brewery page on the unfortunately no longer updated Beermad.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover all possibilities: Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed, Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation and Local Authority which represents the third tear District level.
