History

Started brewing in December 1982. The brewery was originally located in an industrial estate, on Addison Road, Sudbury, built on the site of a previous Mauldons Brewery owned by ancestors of the original owner. It was taken over by new owners in 2000. During August and September 2004 they moved to their offices to the current location and the brewery followed in early 2005.

Beers Brewed

We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website and we suggest you also visit the entry for Mauldon's Ltd on the independent www.beermad.org.uk.

Regular Outlets

The brewery owns one first pub, The Black Adder Brewery Tap, East Street Sudbury. The beers are widely available.

Footnote - Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover both possibilities; Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed; and Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation.
