History
Samuel Smith's brews at a small, traditional British brewery, the oldest brewery in Yorkshire. The well at the Old Brewery, sunk in 1758, is still in use. Today, Samuel Smith's continues to trade as an independent family brewery.
Beers Brewed
We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website and we suggest you also visit the entry for Samuel Smith Old Brewery (Tadcaster) on the independent www.beermad.org.uk.
Regular Outlets
The company owns over 200 pubs the majority of which sell cask ale, note that many of the London owned pubs do not sell cask ale. Many of the pubs are not branded as being under the ownership of any brewery or pub company.

Footnote - Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover both possibilities; Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed; and Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation.
