History
Started brewing in February 2000 using a 7BBL plant, formerly at Merivales Ales Ltd, based in a former potato store. The brewery was taken over by new owners in 2003 and is a separate operation from the pub it stands behind.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
