Based in the old village abattoir, brewing commenced in May 1980. A highly configurable 40BBL plant was installed. In May 1995 the company went into receivership but was rescued by the owner of Whim Ales Ltd. It was later sold to a group that also own Alechemy Brewery and Spey Valley Brewery.
