History
Brewing started in early 1987 based on Anchor Way in Penarth. A move to the current larger location was carried out in 1992. The 4BBL plant originated at Monmouth Fine Ales and has had additional capacity added to it over the years. Brewing was suspended in Spring 2014 but restarted in Summer 2015 but ceased again in 2019 and never restarted.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
