History

John Eastwood, the former brewer of Eastwoods Brewery, started brewing at the Barge and Barrel pub (formerly Dusty Millers) towards the end of 1998. In April 2002, following the takeover of the owning pub company, John Eastwood helped set up Eastwood and Sanders Fine Ales but brewing still takes place at the Barge and Barrel.

Beers Brewed

We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website and we suggest you also visit the entry for Barge and Barrel Brewing Company on the independant www.beermad.org.uk.

Footnote - Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover both possibilities; Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed; and Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation.
