Brewing started in March 1994 under the name South Yorkshire Brewing Company. The name was changed to Barnsley Brewery in 1996 to better reflect the main brand. Expansion resulted in the brewery doubling in size to 120BBL. It became part of the same company as Blackpool Brewery Co. Ltd, this company went into liquidation in April 2002. Brewing continued however. Reported by Sheffield CAMRA as going into receivership for the fifth(!) time in late March 2003 and brewing ceasing with production being transferred to Blackpool.
We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website. For historical information, we suggest you also visit the brewery page on the unfortunately no longer updated Beermad.
