Sam Powell Brewery

History

Sam Powell were an established small beer wholesaling and pub company, who had a previous history of brewing, when in 1982 they purchased the plant and names of the recently defunct Powys Brewery. The company ceased brewing in 1991. The brands were taken over by Woods who brew them at their Wistanstow plant.
