|Brewery No Longer Brews Real Ale|
|Address||J & R Tennent Ltd|
161 Duke Street
|County (see footnote)||Ceremonial|
Founded in 1745 and taken over by Charrington in 1963. It became part of the Bass group following the merger with Bass in 1967. Interbrew took it over following their takeover of Bass in 2000. In August 2009, it was purchased by C & C Group plc. Mainly used for brewing lager, it has brewed some cask-conditioned beer under the James Aitken & Co (Falkirk) Ltd brand mainly between 1995 and 1998. The brewery is still in operation, but no cask ale is brewed there.
We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website. A crowd-sourced beer list is also available on the Untappd page for this brewery. For historical information, we suggest you also visit the brewery page on the unfortunately no longer updated Beermad.
