History

Started test brewing on a very small scale on a ½BBL plant in October 2002 at a location close to the Royal Hotel, Great Harwood. The brewery was officially launched on 19th November. A 2½BBL plant was installed by PBC Brewery Installations Ltd in the cellar of the Royal Hotel during December 2002. The ½BBL plant was sold to Hopstar Brewery. In March 2005 the brewery relocated to Unit 4 Stanley Court, Alan Ramsbottom Way, Great Harwood and in late 2006 upgraded the plant to a 10BBL setup. The brewery re-located once more during early 2008 to Unit 5 New Plough Yard, Queen Street, Great Harwood before moving back to the Royal Hotel. Brewing ceased in Summer 2010.

Beers Brewed

We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website. For historical information, we suggest you also visit the brewery page on the unfortunately no longer updated Beermad.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover all areas possibilities: Ceremonial Counties which are the counties for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed, Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation and Local Authority which represents the third tear District level.
