History

Brewing commenced in October 1996 behind the brewers home on Doncaster Road, Gunness, Scunthorpe. A 2 barrel brewplant is used. Took over Duffield in the summer of 2000. During the summer of 2002 a move to a new larger brewhouse at the same location was carried out. During May 2005 the brewery took over the Dog & Gun, East Butterwick and the brewery moved there.

Beers Brewed

We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website and we suggest you also visit the entry for DarkTribe Brewery on the independant www.beermad.org.uk.

Regular Outlets

The following pubs carry the beers on a fairly regular basis:

Whalebone, Hull
Jolly Sailor, Gunness
Dog & Gun, East Butterwick
Eight Jolly Brewers, Gainsborough
River Don, Eastoft

Footnote - Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover both possibilities; Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed; and Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation.
