History
Started brewing 22nd March 2004 with the first beer going on sale over that Easter. The 4BBL brewplant was supplied by PBC Brewery Installations Ltd. Much of the breweries production is bottled and exported to Japan, Sweden, Germany and Belguim as well as the UK.
Beers Brewed
We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website and we suggest you also visit the entry for Islay Ales Co Ltd on the independent www.beermad.org.uk.

Cask beer is available all year at the Bridgend Hotel, Bridgend and the Port Charlotte Hotel, Port Charlotte, both on Islay. Three other pubs take the beer in cask form in the summer and the bottles are widely available across the Island.

Footnote - Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover both possibilities; Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed; and Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation.
