History
Brewing started in August 1993. The 15BBL plant, which was fabricated on the island and self-built, is situated in an 18th century barn. Relocated to a new building at the same location in June 2008 to allow for an expansion.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
