History
Part of The Firkin Brewery chain. Opened in 1995, it ceased brewing with the rest of the chain in 1999. However as there was a planning condition that the pub had to brew, this one restarted brewing in April 2002. Either the brewer from the Heritage Brewing Company or from Dark Star Brewing Co. Ltd brewed irregularly. The brewing equipment was removed from the pub during Summer 2003.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
