History
Part of The Firkin Brewery chain. Opened in early 1996, it ceased brewing with the rest of the chain in 1999. The 5BBL plant was used for The Bowland Beer Company Ltd.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
