History

Brewing at this site commenced in 1699. By 1842 it had fallen into the hands of the Fullers and soon after Messers Smith and Turner had joined the brewery. To this day it remains independent. Took over Gales in November 2005.

Regular Outlets

Nearly 250 pubs are owned, all bar one of these serve real ale.
