History
Started in September 2001 by Philip Darby and Niven Balfour who had previously owned Bramcote and been a partner in Castle Rock until the Tynemill pub group took full control of Castle Rock. The brewplant was originally at the Ford & Firkin

From Nottingham railway station turn right down Carrington Street, cross the main road and turn first left, Collin Street. Turn right onto the ring road and at the second roundabout follow the A610 (Derby Road). At top of the hill, at the Sir John Borlase Warren pub, go down the left hand side of the pub onto Ilkeston Road. Cross one major road junction and then at next traffic lights just before the railway bridge turn right down St Peters Street. The Plough is on your left after about 200 yards.
