History

Started in 1997 as a partnership between the Bramcote Brewing Company and the Tynemill pub group. Several expansions of the brewery took place over the following years. In 2001 Tynemill bought out their partners to become the sole owners of the brewery, the partners leaving to set up Nottingham Brewing Co. An expansion of the brewery was completed in spring 2003.

Beers Brewed

We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website and we suggest you also visit the entry for Castle Rock Brewery on the independent www.beermad.org.uk.

Regular Outlets

The Vat and Fiddle, Queens Bridge Road, Nottingham is the brewery tap. The beer is also always available in all Tynemill pubs and the beer is widely available elsewhere, particularly in the Midlands.

Cask Identification

Casks have a blue/white color scheme.

Footnote - Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover both possibilities; Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed; and Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation.
