History
Brewing first started in May 1981 under the name Paradise Brewery, named after its location, the Paradise Bird Park. A 5 barrel brewplant is used. The brewery closed for a period in 1982 and brews mainly only in the summer months when tourist trade is higher. The name was changed to Wheal Ale in 1995. It is understood that brewing has ceased, but that it may resume in the future.
Beers Brewed
We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website and we suggest you also visit the entry for Wheal Ale Brewery on the independant www.beermad.org.uk.

Footnote - Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover both possibilities; Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed; and Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation.
