History

Started brewing during May 1997, based at 19 Cheddars Lane, Cambridge. A 15BBL plant was used. Ceased brewing while a move was carried out during the late Summer of 2001, their beers being contract brewed by Mighty Oak for this period. Restarted brewing at Ely Road, Chittering, Cambridge at the beginning of June 2002. A feature of their new plant is that the water is recycled using reed beds. Brewing ceased again in the second half of 2007 with brewing being contracted our to amongst others, Wolf and Oxfordshire Ales. By 2010 brewing was all taking place at Elgoods. In Autumn 2011 the brewery was taken over by Wolf and all brewing takes place there.

Beers Brewed

We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website. A crowd-sourced beer list is also available on the Untappd page for this brewery. For historical information, we suggest you also visit the brewery page on the unfortunately no longer updated Beermad.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover all possibilities: Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed, Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation and Local Authority which represents the third tear District level.
