History
Brewing started in 1994 in a small outhouse in the gardens of the Golden Galleon pub. During 2000 the brewery was moved to a new extension of the pub and the 5BBL plant formerly at the Belchers Brewery (Hove) in Hove was installed. The brewery closed in August 2003 with the plant sold to Harvey & Son (Lewes) Ltd for test and short-run brews.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
