History

Brewing started in 1994 in a small outhouse in the gardens of the Golden Galleon pub. During 2000 the brewery was moved to a new extension of the pub and the five barrel brewplant formerly at the Hedgehog & Hogshead in Hove was installed. Brewery closed during August 2003 with the brewplant being sold to Harveys for test and short run brews.

Beers Brewed

We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website and we suggest you also visit the entry for The Cuckmere Haven Brewery on the independant www.beermad.org.uk.

Footnote - Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover both possibilities; Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed; and Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation.
