History
Brewing commenced in 1777 in Ansty. They purchased their current location in 1888 with the original brewery closing at the turn of the century. Took over King & Barnes in 2000 and also own The Gribble Inn brewpub although the brewery was sold in 2005.

About 250 pubs are owned, all serving cask ales.
