Captain Grumpy's Beer Company

History

When initially beers from this brewery appeared during the summer of 2001, the beers were brewed at Iceni. Production began on their own plant behind the Ship, Brandon Creek, Downham Market during November 2001. During the autumn of 2002 to pub was sold and production of the beer was moved back to Iceni while a new site was sought. The new site at the above address started production in mid October 2002. During the early summer of 2003 the brewery moved once more and became the Wissey Valley Brewery although beers using the Captain Grumpy name will continue to be produced in bottled form.
