Opened in August 1994 next to their own pub, Uisge Beatha. However planning permission had not been given to the brewery and following complaints from local residents the brewery was forced to shut in March 1996. The plant was sold the Valhalla Brewery in the Shetlands.

Beers Brewed

We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website and we suggest you also visit the entry for The Glaschu Brewery on the independant www.beermad.org.uk.

Footnote - Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover both possibilities; Ceremonial Counties which are the areas for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed; and Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation.
