Coors Brewers Ltd

History

It was announced at Christmas 2001 that the US company Coors had agreed to pay £1.2 billion for the Carling Brewing division of Interbrew UK. The sale was completed in February 2002.

This sale consists of the following breweries:

Bass Brewers
Bass Mitchells & Butlers
Museum Brewing Company

Announced in April 2002 that Bass Mitchells & Butler plant at Cape Hill would be shut before the end of 2002.
