History
Company set up after the closure of Ushers to market the beers now contract brewed under the Ushers brand by Thomas Hardy. Took over Wychwood in Spring 2002. Also took over the brewing of the Brakspear brands on their closure in October 2002. Taken over itself by Marstons in March 2008.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
