History
Founded in the 1740s, this brewery originally based on High Street, Burton upon Trent merged with Ind Coope Ltd in 1934. Many years later, the name started being reused in 1994 when it was used as the name for a small specialist cask beer producer for Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company Limited Tapster's Choice guest beer scheme. Brewing ceased in 1998.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
