History
Never a brewery, this was the location of the Courage brewery groups headquarters. It ceased to be involved in brewing in any way when the breweries were sold to Scottish & Newcastle and became part of Scottish Courage.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
