History

Brewery opened 1978 by Courage Ltd, ownership was transferred to Scottish & Newcastle PLC in 1995. As part of the takeover of S&N by Heineken UK Ltd and Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company Limited, the brewery was transferred to Heineken in 2008 and closed in Spring 2010.
