History

Opened in late May 2000. The 4BBL brewery was formerly used by TH & M and John O'Gaunt Brewing Co Ltd breweries. Moved to share a new plant in Buntingford, Hertfordshire with Woodlands Brewery. The name ceased to be used in July 2002 as production was concentrated on the Buntingford name. The name was resurrected in late Summer 2003, as production at Buntingford was suspended due to technical problems. Beers were brewed using spare capacity at other breweries, initially Belvoir Brewery Ltd. The name ceased being used in September 2004.

Beers Brewed

We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website. For historical information, we suggest you also visit the brewery page on the unfortunately no longer updated Beermad.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover all areas possibilities: Ceremonial Counties which are the counties for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed, Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation and Local Authority which represents the third tear District level.
